Dr. Murray L. Parkinson

 

 

Auroral Westward Flow Channels are intense, narrow jets of plasma wind synchronised with explosive auroral activity in the high latitude ionosphere. They were discovered in full scan data recorded with the Tasman Geospace Environment Radar (TIGER) located on Bruny Island, Tasmania. See Parkinson et al., Ann.
